Although not as popular in recent years, there's still some demand for 32 inch TVs for small rooms or kitchens. However, many popular manufacturers don't release models in this size, and they're becoming hard to find. Usually, the picture quality or overall performance of these TVs is below average, as they tend to be inexpensive budget models, so you could benefit significantly from going up to the inch TV sizes.
If there's a 32 inch model that you want us to buy and test, check out our suggestion tool. We've tested over TVs under the latest test bench, and here are our recommendations for the best 32 inch TVs you can buy. If you don't necessarily need the smart interface or tuner, then check out the best inch monitors.
There aren't many 4k TVs available in this size, and you could find more 4k monitors at 32 inches if you're going to connect a streaming device or gaming console. However, if you want to take advantage of the smart features of the TV, so you don't buy external streaming boxes, it's a decent overall TV. The 32 inch model has a 4k resolution like the 55 inch model we tested, so we expect the smaller size to perform like the larger TV.
It comes with Tizen OS as its built-in system, and even though it's considered a reduced version of the OS found on higher-end Samsung TVs, it's still easy-to-use, and the menu navigation is very smooth. The remote even has a built-in mic, so you can ask it to open up your favorite apps quickly.
Unfortunately, it has a mediocre frequency response as it doesn't produce any bass and won't sound accurate, so you'll need to buy a soundbar for a better sound experience if that bothers you. In terms of picture quality, it delivers deep blacks in dark rooms and gets bright enough to fight glare in well-lit environments.
It also delivers decent gaming performance as it has an okay response time and low input lag for a responsive feel, making it the best 32 inch TV for gaming that we've tested. As 4k TVs are hard to find in this size, it's better to look for something with a lower p resolution like this one, and if you sit at a distance, you won't notice the difference in resolution between each anyways. There are a few variants of this TV, so it can be confusing to know which one to buy, but the D32f-J04 version has a p resolution and performs like the 40 inch model we tested, while the D32h-J09 has a lower p resolution.
It comes with a VA panel, meaning it has a really high native contrast ratio. Even though it doesn't have a local dimming feature, the black uniformity is still decent, and it's fine enough to use in a dark room as blacks will look black. It doesn't have any issues upscaling lower-resolution content like from DVDs and cable boxes, which is great if you watch that type of content.
Sadly, it doesn't have the most advanced smart features. The Vizio SmartCast system is laggier than operating systems on other TVs, so it takes a while to open your favorite apps, but at least the interface is easy to learn. Its remote doesn't have a remote for voice control either, which is disappointing. If this isn't a concern for you, it's the best p TV available in a 32 inch size.
If you want something with better smart features, check out the TCL 32S Its contrast isn't as good as the Vizio D3 Series , so its blacks aren't as deep. However, the built-in Roku TV is an easy-to-use interface with many apps you can download through the app store, but menu navigation doesn't feel the smoothest. Our unit has excellent out-of-the-box accuracy, which is important because you can't calibrate the TV, and it has good reflection handling.
You have to ensure you get the S variant because it has a p resolution, while the S and S variants are limited to p. If you want the best 32 inch p TV, you can't go wrong with the Vizio. If smart features are important to you, then look into the TCL.
We tested the 40 inch TCL, but our results are also valid for the S model. If you have a wide seating arrangement or want to place it in a kitchen where you'll be walking around, the best 32 inch TV for your needs is the Samsung UN32N It uses a different panel type than the other TVs in this recommendation, as its IPS panel has wide viewing angles, and the image remains accurate no matter where you view it from.
It's a decent choice if you want to watch shows and don't want to buy an external cable box or streaming device because it comes with Tizen OS as its smart platform. It's user-friendly, the app store has a ton of apps you can download, and you can also connect your USB stick or cast your phone to watch personalized content. Sadly, its remote doesn't come with a mic for voice control. Although it's an older model, it's still available, and it won't break your wallet either.
Unfortunately, as expected for a basic p TV with an IPS panel, its picture quality isn't anything special. If you use it in a dark or dim room, blacks look gray due to the low contrast, and if you have it in a well-lit room, it doesn't get bright enough to fight glare. It still has decent reflection if you have a few lights around.

All TV Reviews Samsung. C2 OLED. C1 OLED. G2 OLED. NANO85 There's still a great picture here for those wanting a smaller screen. During our testing, we found this TV remarkably easy to set up. That's not here yet, but it's expected to be available to pre-order soon and, when it does, it might take the top spot for the best inch smart TV.
While the name might not exactly jump out at you, VIZIO's small screen has a lot going for it — including a full p resolution and an app tray full of the most popular streaming services including Netflix, YouTube and Hulu on the SmartCast platform, which is also used on Vizio's high-end sets and H1 OLED. You're getting a basic pair of 5W speakers built-in, so it might be worth plugging in some external audio hardware, but you're getting a good feature list for such a small TV and small price — including two HDMI ports, one USB port, ARC support, and a 60Hz refresh rate rather than the 50Hz of some other sets at this size.
This is another untested model, but if you're looking for something smart, small and affordable at a inch size, VIZIO's small screen offers a lot for the price. Three HDMI ports give you a lot of connectivity options too, while the 60Hz panel doesn't hurt either. TCL TVs have a tendency towards quite aggressive overprocessing and high contrast images, which will only be more prominent on its cheaper screens — but for an affordable model that won't be a nightmare to navigate, the 3 Series is a good bet for one of the best inch TVs.
And while we haven't reviewed this model ourselves, we've seen enough TCL TVs to get a good sense of what's on offer. The picture is surprisingly good, too, given the price and limitations of this HD resolution set. The processor handles HD sources, or those downscaled from 4K , very well. Freeview Play support is a great addition for UK viewers too. Just keep in mind that you're only getting HD p resolution on both the inch and inch sizing options.
Cello might be a humble British TV brand, but it knows how to cater to those on a tight budget and those in need of a smaller-than-standard screen. For that price you're getting Full HD x resolution, and surprisingly comprehensive smart TV features. The Cello Netgem smart TV that used to be in this guide made do with a very basic operating system — without even Netflix support — and the move to Android for the latest TVs from this range can only be an improvement.
Sure, there are better interfaces than Android for higher-end sets, but it's highly unusual at this price, packing in Chromecast, Google Assistant support, and the best streaming services such as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube, Rakuten. You even have Freeview Play — for the UK's terrestrial broadcaster catch-up services. HDR isn't equal across sets as it relies on a screen's contrast and brightness, but it will let you squeeze more out of a top-end Netflix or Amazon Video subscription, or your favorite console games.
If you're going to watch close-up, the benefits of higher resolution may outweigh HDR. Unless you're kitting out a very small room, most of the best inch TVs still need some added power when it comes to sound performance, whether that's with one of the best soundbars or best surround sound systems. The Sharp 1T is a great option if you really care about sound — and who doesn't if you want to really enjoy your favorite TV shows and movies?
No, this won't be as good as a state-of-the-art surround sound system linked up to a bigger, more powerful TV. The picture quality on offer here is also good, there's good HD clarity and contrast between light and dark areas of the screen. Size isn't everything, as the best inch TVs can attest to.
Many of these smaller screens offer much sharper p or p picture quality thanks to their compact display. This means there's much less risk of the displayed image appearing blurry as a result of poor upscaling on a larger 4K-capable TV. Some even offer HDR, injecting that smaller, sharper screen with a burst of color.
The smaller size of a inch TV also means that they're offered a good degree more in the way of portability. Need to move the TV to a different room or house? It's far more manageable with a smaller inch TV than with a 4K giant. Prices vary between brands, but even the best inch TVs are cheaper than even the most basic, entry-level 4K tellies. Prices can also vary depending on what features you're looking for. Shopping for a new TV can be a hassle.
Especially as there are so many TV tech terms to learn and a lot of incredibly confusing naming conventions. But, don't worry, the experts here at TechRadar are veterans at compiling lists that help you find out what features to check for when you're looking for the best inch TV for you. Another thing to consider before you decide which inch TV you want, is whether or not it has all the ports you need.
This is incredibly important, but often the last thing you might think about when you're agonizing over which display to buy. But they will work with TVs with older ports, too, definitely check compatibility before you buy one. When you have a lot of different devices to connect, it will really make your life easier getting a inch TV that has enough ports to support everything you want to do with it.
IPS panels offer slightly wider viewing angles, while VA panels support much better contrast. With big screen 'main' TVs likely to be used for watching films, sometimes with the lights dimmed, the lack of contrast with IPS screens can become a big issue, causing dark scenes to look washed out. So if you're looking for a inch TV to go into a relatively dark environment, a VA panel is a must. IPS panel contrast issues are less problematic in bright rooms such as conservatories and kitchens, though, and the slight IPS viewing angle advantage can also be handy in such large environments where viewers may be using the TV while walking around the room.
